King Adeife was a very powerful king in the land Ayorun. He has both physical and spiritual powers, every one of his subjects respects and fears him. With all the powers king Adeife had, he doesn't not use his power for his selfish benefits, he is a very kind and nice king. There has not been any king as wise as this king since the history of the village. He helps the poor and the needy in the town. On the other hand, there was a wicked woman in the town of Ayorun, her name is Otelabi. Otelabi is the only woman in the entire village that does not regard the king. She disobeys the king's order and terrorize the people of Ayorun. She is very powerful with evil and demonic powers that nobody wants to associate with her. Her case has been reported to the king times without numbers, whenever the king gives her strict warning she will fear and stop for a while after a few days, she will continue her terrorism.
In the Palace of King Adeife
The chiefs were waiting for you the arrival of the king from his room. Finally, the king arrived.
Everyone at the palace prostrated to welcome the King.
"Kabiyesi ooo" they echoed.
King Adeife sat on his throne and greeted his chiefs.
"What's the agenda of today's meeting" the king faced Balogun
Balogun: your highness, it's about the same thing we have been saying, we are tired of Otelabi in this town. The way she treats our people is too bad. She has gone as far as corrupting our young girls and gathering an evil army for herself.
Iyalode: Is that the only thing you see, Otelabi makes advances to young men to sleep with her, and if they refuse, she rapes some, turns some to slave and kills those that gave her a tough time.
Eesa: Otelabi has done so much evil and she deserves to die, Sir, your Highness, we can't continue like this.
All other chiefs were voicing their opinions.
At the end of it all, the king called for silence.
King Adeife: Let there be decorum, please. I've heard everything you said. It will be resolved. Peace shall reign and we shall all be happy and be glad at the end of this.
The chiefs chorused "Amen"
King Adeife: My dear people, I've something to tell you. And it's something you have all been waiting to hear.
The chiefs began to murmur among themselves what it could be that the king wanted to say.
King Adeife: (cleared his throat) Well, I've seen the woman I would like to marry. I know how you have been on my neck all these while to get a wife.
Lisa(with smiles): So, the king has finally fallen in love after our persuasions all these while. Glory be to God.
Every other chiefs were showing their happiness towards the development.
The king showed a sign that he wanted to continue his speech.
King Adeife: I'm deeply in love with this damsel. The problem is that I don't how to express my feelings to her.
The chiefs look at themselves and were surprised to hear that a powerful king like king Adeife couldn't express his feelings
Iyalode: Who is this lady in question? Where is her family? Who is her father?
Balogun interrupted: See, Iyalode, don't ask too many questions, Please King, just tell us her name and we will send the guards to fetch her in no time
The king kept quiet and couldn't say a word for about 2 minutes. While the king kept quiet, the chiefs were murmuring and showing their surprises
Finally, the king broke the silence and suspense. I'm in love with…..
