In my journey to becoming a professional organist, I've learned a few things that have great spiritual lessons. As an amateur keyboardist, I can only play fluently on one or two keys, for this reason, I forced every instrumentalist playing with me to adapt to the key I know how to play. There are times the trumpeter will force me to leave my comfort zone of playing in F# to G or F. Someone reading this will ask me, why didn't you use the transpose button? For those who don't know what transpose means, it means altering the sound of a given scale to produce another key. In a layman's terms, it means playing the particular key I know how to play but making it to sound in any key you want to hear it. Actually, there are 12 major keys, professional instrumentalists should be able to play fluently in any of these. The keys denote the way we sing, some songs are in flats while some are in sharps. You can't use sharp keys to play a song in flat, it will discord and spoil the music, but transposition can make you use one key to play all the 12 keys. Many keyboardists don't know more than 1 or 2 keys, and they start transposing and such claim to be professional. But when such are given a grand piano or organ with no transposition button, they will just be clueless. I don't know how to transpose for a very long time and by the time I will know it, I had started learning my 12 Major keys.
My brothers and sisters, there is no Transpose in real life. In our everyday living, there is no transpose. You must learn all the keys to life. You can't use key F to play on G in real life. You must learn all the keys of this kingdom of God.
One thing is to know all the keys and another is to have music ear to know when the person singing changes the key and you know the right key to play at the right time. If you don't have a musical ear to change to the right key, you make no difference between a person that doesn't know more than one key. There are various keys that make our journey on earth seamless and our kingdom works fruitfully. These keys are scattered throughout the Bible. You need to do a thorough search of the Bible yourself to know all these keys, learn it, and apply it in your day to day life.
Paul in the book of Ephesians was admonishing the saints to put on all armor of God, not some because you can't transpose your spiritual weapon.
He even said all prayers, which means that there are many types of prayers and we must pray them all to be successful. The helmet of salvation can not do the work of the sword of the Spirit and vice versa.
Please read this passage carefully in the spirit and think on each weapon with the help of the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 6:10-20 (NKJV)
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the [a]wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [b]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Another set of keys you need to learn is the fruits of the Spirit.
Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
2 Peter 1: 2, 5-10
2. Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
(Grace and Peace are the keys you need to succeed in this Kingdom. Peter was praying that these keys be multiplied unto us and in the next verses, he was mentioning the keys)
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. ( If you don't know all the keys of this kingdom, you're in trouble)
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
But these keys are too much for me to learn, you protests. It is not you that will teach yourself the keys, the Holy Spirit will teach you. Your own is just to yield and submit to His teachings.
Philiphians 2: 13
King James Version
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
God is the God of all graces (keys) and He will establish you.
1 Peter 5: 10
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. Amen!
