Watching Football:
This may be a controversial topic among Christian that, is football a sin? Yes, that was my question too. I was a fan of Manchester United, I love watching football a lot. But God asked me one day while watching football "If the rapture should take place, will you make it". I couldn’t answer. He also told me that He will make me stop watching football one day. Still yet I love football, I couldn’t stop it. One day, a preacher accessed my FB profile and asked me why did I put a lot of football stuff on my profile? I was surprised that is football a sin, so I type the question on Google, "Is football a sin", the answer I got changed my life forever. Sincerely speaking, not the Google answer really change my life, but I don’t want to miss the rapture as God as asked me earlier. Since I have stopped watching football I have peace and joy in my life. It was very hard to stop watching it. As times goes on, I was tempted to return to watching football, but God loves me because he allowed me to read a testimony of hell where someone was in hell for watching football and even I read that footballers are in hell. Now I have made up my mind never to engage myself in football or any sports watching. Many of you may ask why football is a sin, I will write that in a later article if you are staying tuned to my articles. But before then, know that God is not interested in any competition, The Bible says to be your brother's keeper and in honor prefer on and other and in sport, nobody wants the other party to win or prosper thereby disobeying the Scripture which says
Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another (Romans 12:10 (KJV))
In football or any sports, you are happy your opponent loses and BIBLE warns that:
“Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles, lest the Lord see it and be displeased, and turn away his anger from him.” Proverbs 24:17-18
And also:
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
Philippians 2:3 “ Do nothing from rivalry or conceit but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.” This means as a Christian, we should not be rival of each other as football Clubs are.
Dating (Boyfriend and Girlfriend): I was once a great protestant against the fact that we should not date. I used to judge myself right that once you have to know the person you want to marry you can start your relationship even from primary school. I was also against the teaching of praying to Gods will before marriage, just choose from your sight and discretion and get away. Little did I know that dating which I later know to be “Doing All Things In Negate to God’s will” was a big sin before God. You may argue or doubt the fact that dating is a sin that can take you to hell, I expect you to do so, because I did so before the Holy Spirit convicted me. From a prophecy I received from Jesus Christ, He told me that dating is a sin before Him. Also, a friend received from Jesus in a vision that boyfriend and girlfriend relationship is a sin before God. Dating eventually leads to fornication (and this is the primary reason why some are dating) and fornication is a sin against the body and all fornicator will have their inheritance in hell.
Proverbs 7:6-28 warns against the result of dating and also Proverbs 6:25-28
25 Do not lust in your heart after her beauty or let her captivate you with her eyes, for the prostitute reduces you to a loaf of bread, and the adulteress preys upon your very life. Can a man scoop fire into his lap without his clothes being burned? Can a man walk on hot coals without his feet being scorched?
So repent from dating. This makes me believe that dating will make one loose connection with God thereby not ready for the rapture of the saints. If you are ready to get married, pray to God to choose for you and never choose with your discretion. God is all wise, He knows everything from the beginning, so commit your ways unto the Lord and He will establish it.
Premarital Sex: Now that you are engaged with the person you want to marry you have no right to engage yourselves in premarital sex before your wedding day. Even if it is God that chooses your spouse for you, you have no right to have any sexual relationship with the person before your wedding day. The Bible says that the bed should be honorary and holy.
Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. ( Hebrews 13:4 )
For this is the will of God, your sanctification:
But if the thing is true, that evidence of virginity was not found in the young woman, then they shall bring out the young woman to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has done an outrageous thing in Israel by whoring in her father's house. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.
If you are practicing this act, you need to repent of it, and then do restitution by confessing this sin to your Church pastor or Ministry before your wedding day. It is not an easy restitution but you must do it for Heaven sake. In my later articles, I will be writing about preventing premarital sex during courtship in a subsequent article, what you should do and what not to do.
Divorce and or Re-marriage: It is against the will of God for anybody to divorce his wife or husband (no matter the condition) so far one of the parties is still alive. The Bible admonishes
Luke 16:18
“Everyone who divorces his wife and marries commits adultery, and he who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.
1 Corinthians 7:10-11
To the married I give this charge (not I, but the Lord): the wife should not separate from her husband (but if she does, she should remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband), and the husband should not divorce his wife.
1 Corinthians 7:15
But if the unbelieving partner separates, let it be so. In such cases, the brother or sister is not enslaved. God has called you to peace.
Matthew 19:6
So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together let not man separate.”
Pornography: Well, many people know that pornography is a sin, and they can boldly say they don’t watch or practice pornography. Pornography is more than watching sexy figure from the computer or Smartphone. Jesus said, if you look a woman lustily, you have already committed adultery.
Matthew 5:28
But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Therefore if you see a woman or man wearing an indecent dress in the street, take your eyes away from it, if not you are watching pornography.
Psalm 119:37
Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things, and give me life in your ways.
Pornography extends to watching worldly music, movies that are sexually explicit. Watching porn leads to masturbation (solo sex). It is better to stop this lubricious act before it sends you to hell.
For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. (1 John 2:16
)
Watching and Listening to Worldly TV programs, movies, and songs: An Heavenly bound child of God must not engage himself in anything worldly. If you are worldly, it means you hate God, for the love of the world is enmity to God. So watching horror movies, porn, violence movies (movies where they fight and kill), hip pop songs (even Gospel hip pop, or hi pop songs that are changed to Gospel), raps, juju that are worldly will make you lose connection with God thereby losing Heaven at last.
The Bible admonishes us the types of the song we should sing:
Colossians 3:16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
Romans 12:2Even some so-called Gospel songs are worldly because what they are portraying is sexually explicit in one way or the other. Most worldly Singers have chosen to join cultism and Illuminati thereby getting their inspirations directly from Lucifer. Think about it, which of these worldly songs glorify God, but what they portray is self, sin, sexually explicit materials, demons, money, lust and pleasure, nothing spiritual to gain from all these songs and movies.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Comedy and Jokes: The Bible made it clear that we should not involve ourselves in coarse jokes. Take for an instance what will happen to you when you are involved in-joke cracking and leading, making people laughs and happy but you can’t lead them to Christ.
Proverbs 26:18-19This means our yes should be “yes” and our no “no”, no joking.
"Like a madman who throws firebrands, arrows, and death is the man who deceives his neighbor and says, “I am only joking!”
Ephesians 5:4
"Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving."
1 Timothy 3:8Comedy movies are now rampant among Christians, most of these movies are demonic possessed to take you away from God.
"Deacons likewise must be dignified, not double-tongued,not addicted to much wine, not greedy for dishonest gain."
