When you read this topic, what comes to your mind? You may be thinking Emmanuel is mad! How dare you wish me dead. I rebuke, I reject in Jesus Christ Name.
Before you start rebuking me, please try to understand what I mean by death.
Death is a gateway to a new life. Jesus' death on the cross purchased a new life for us and the Bible admonishes us that we should die with Christ, be buried with Him so that we can resurrect into a new life.
Now you may want to ask, how and why we should we die? Is this a natural death? Ok, my brothers and sisters, let check the Bible and see what it says about this death.
1 Peter 2:24 and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.
The above verse said we should die to sin and live to righteousness. Do you know the meaning of death, it means no longer alive to commit sin. Ah! This is a serious matter. This experience of death starts when you experience Sanctification. See below for another thought-provoking passage
. Romans 6:1-6 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
Romans 6:8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.
Death experience is very important in the life of any Christian that wants to make Heaven. Do you know what it means? It means the person doesn't belong to this world again. I think it's only the Spirit of God that can explain this. I've bad and good news for you. The bad news is that you can't make Heaven until you pass through this death. The good news is that death can only be brought to us by workings of the Holy Ghost in our lives, we just need to yield ourselves and He will do the work.
Death means total submission, total takeover by the Holy Ghost, total surrender.
This is a serious matter! I need to stop my writing here because I need to experience this death too. This death is an experience too just like salvation and other Christian experiences. This death is the highest consecration I know a Christian can attain...
This is just the tip of the iceberg of this death. There are mysteries behind it.
For now, let's meet in the death room.
