"I saw you in my dream, then I heard a voice saying that is your wife", "I saw you in a vision last night and I was told by God that you are my spouse", "After prayer and fasting, I was assured that you are my spouse."
As a single serving Christ, have you heard one of the statements above or one that is similar? How do you handle it? Do you accept the proposal immediately, reject, ponder, or pray about it to know the will of God? Some people on hearing "God" believed the person had actually heard from Him, they quickly accept the proposal without praying about it and start giving thanks to God for answering their prayer. I am not saying God doesn't speak to people concerning their life partner, but it must be confirmed from God Himself if it is actually true or maybe the person did not heard from Him. It is very vital to know the will of God in marriage. Satan has devised many ways to make you marry the wrong person; one of it is to show you or the other party a false vision, dream or inner witness. The Bible warned us that the devil do disguise as angel of light. That is why we should pray against the spirit of Paimon- the demon behind false prophecies, vision, dream. 2 Cor11:11-15, "For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds." Paimon do imitate God by changing to an angel, Jesus, Holy Spirit, etc in the dreams, vision, etc. The major reason for doing this is to make you choose the wrong choice. This is the spirit which controls the end time false prophets.
Jeremiah 14:14
Then the LORD said to me, "The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds.
Jeremiah 23:16
This is what the LORD Almighty says:
"Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with
false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD.
Jeremiah 29:8
Yes, this is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: "Do not let the prophets and diviners among you deceive you. Do not listen to the dreams you encourage them to have.
Matthew 7:15
"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
1 Corinthians 12:10
to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another DISTINGUISHING BETWEEN SPIRITS, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.

Do not treat prophecies with contempt

but test them all; hold on to what is good.The Bible warns that we should try every spirit to know whether they are of God.
"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." 1John 4:1. Rememer also the story of the old and young prophets.
1 Kings 13:18
The old prophet answered, "I too am a prophet, as you are. And an angel said to me by the word of the LORD: 'Bring him back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water.'" (But he was lying to him.)
Some reason why you will be vulnerable to Paimon
1. If you DON'T pray hard and through. It requires fervent prayer to hear from God. If your prayer doesn't pass the second heaven, Paimon will deceive you. Ephesians 6:12
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." You need concentration, fasting and fervency to overcome the wicked one.
2. If you already have your own desire and you are finding it difficult to submit to the will of God. It will be very easy for Paimon to deceive you!
Psalm 66:18
"If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened"- James 4:3 "Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may
consume it upon your lusts." If what you are praying will make you sin, or its lusful, God would not hear and Paimon would set in.
Proverbs 1:28 "Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me"- If you dont pray according to His will, you wouldn't find Him
1 John 3:22 "And receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him."
1 John 5:14 "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us." You must ready to pray like our Master prayed, " Thy will be done" I.e you are ready to accept either yes or no.
Many marriages which claim to be the will of God is devastated because either of the spouse or both was deceived by false prophecies, dreams, teaching, etc. Many youths are not praying for the will of God because of devastated marriages of people who claimed they prayed through.
How To Know the Voice of God
God doesn't force you to do his will, He only advises. He will never tell you to do against the Bible. Galatians 1:8
"But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God's curse! His voice is gentle, calm and loving." Sometimes we may need to pray seven times and put our head between our thighs like Elijah to hear the voice of God.
Conclusion: Be very sure whatever you want to do is from God. DON'T just believe everything you hear or see even if your G.O. ask you to do it. Sometimes we may need to pray for signs to be sure its God. And when God really show you your spouse, allow the person to pray about it and not just think about it. DON'T initiate God's plan for yourself, pray hard, He will establish you.
