Auditing Our Walk With Christ!

13:52

According to Wikipedia, Auditing refers to a systematic and independent examination of books, accounts, documents and vouchers of an organization to ascertain how far the financial statements present a true and fair view of the concern. It also attempts to ensure that the books of accounts are properly maintained by the concern as required by law. In the corporate settings, auditing is used to detect theft, flaws, or any disorder in record keeping. So also, in the Spiritual life, we need to be auditing our life daily of any sins before the Chief External Auditor comes visiting us like a thief in the night after which is judgement. Yesterday, at our our revival I was opportune to watch a movie tagged "The night of tribulation" - A film portraying what will be the portion of Christians who missed the rapture. My heart was broken after watching this movie, although I didn't have time to pray over it because of my numerous duties.

The question now is that what can make a genuine born again Christian miss the gathering of the saints - the rapture. It is simply SIN, you may wonder, but there is no sinning saint? But I tell you all form of ungodliness is sin. In our thought, actions and reactions. Many Christians are careless in their speeches, thoughts and behaviour; we DON'T resist the evil one when he comes tempting. For the fact that we are in the flesh, we are subject to temptations and if care is not taken we fall. We have not been made perfect, but am sure we can be in this world if we audit our steps with Christ. A careful Christian will not sleep with sin in his heart. Like my pastor would say, "If a farmer is working on the field, he will be looking back occasionally to crosscheck his work, maybe he has skip a few places that was supposed to be worked on, therefore as a Christian, we need to be looking back at our spiritual life to see where we've missed it." It is very easy to preach, very easy to write a long article as I do write. Consequently, it is not easy to practice, we must practise our teaching. We need to guard our heart against any form of sin, wash our self daily in the blood of Jesus. Always ask God, " Where have I missed it?" We DON'T want to be a careless Christian, we need to check our load. Are there secret sins, restitution, unforgiving spirit, lusts and worldly passion in your life? Audit your steps with Jesus today. We need to confess our sins to God daily, not because we are a sinner, or we are momentous Repenter! No, the Bible admonishes us to redeem the time, for the days are evil.
Corinthians 13:5
Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!
Ephesians 5:16.
We were also warned in Revelation 22:14 to wash our robes, our spiritual garments daily.
"Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city."

Daily repentance is very necessary for every born again Christian, it is not meant for sinners. For you to understand this, I would like to share with you the story of a woman who went to the toilet 3 times in a particular day. Each time, she uses the toilet, she wash her hands. As she washing her hands, she said
she heard a voice, which she recognized, in heart. The Voice
asked her ‘why are you washing your hands’? I just used the toilet. I am washing my hands to cleanse any germ I might have contacted. She replied. But, You washed your hand in the morning after using the toilet! The Voice reminded her.

Yes, I did because I used the toilet in the morning. Anytime, I use the toilet I wash my hands to cleanse any germs I might have contacted. She replied
Why then do you take the washing of your heavenly garment as less serious and unimportant? The Voice finally asked a question that totally caused this woman to have a change of orientation. Perhaps, this woman never realized she had an heavenly garment that she needed to take its wash as serious as she washed her hands to prevent infection with germs. Perhaps, She realized she has not measured up to expectations in this regard.

You also may not know that you have any heavenly garments that needs to be washed daily. Your garments is your righteousness and holiness.
Revelations 19: 7-8
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

Are there stains of sins, evil thought, sinful thought in your garments? Get rid of them now and do that daily.

YOU NEED TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR GARMENTS, BECAUSE IT IS YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS THAT WILL TAKE YOU TO HEAVEN
It is of high Importance to take care of your garment of righteousness because it is written you keep and wash it less you miss the rapture.Lets read Revelations 16:15
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments , lest he walk Unclad, and they see his shame.
